The Beatles

The Beatles were a highly successful rock band during the 1960s. They transformed as a creative and highly commercial art form over the next decade. The Beatles were one of the most popular bands of all time and played a key role in the development of British rock and pop music. The four members of The Beatles were John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. When on tour they were greeted by thousands of screaming fans. This reaction became known as Beatlemania.
