My name's Jack. I'm 21 years old and I work as a digital marketing assistant at Abbey Road Studios.
Ever since I was really young I've always had such a passion for music. For me music is everything. I couldn't wake up without listening to music. One of my favourite albums of all time was recorded just literally down the corridor. First time I walked in was pretty incredible moment and even now I still get goose bumps.
So I started my life at Abbey Roard working in the shop, which is based next to the studio and I was working there for about eight or nine months where I learnt a lot of people skills. I eventually heard of a job come up as a marketing assistant in the studios. I went for the job. And after quite a few interviews, I was lucky enough to be successful. So every day in the marketing team, there's something different to be done. My role can vary from creating content for online or for print or even interviewing the artists that come into the studio and creating the questions for them. When I started college and my degree, that's when I really started getting into music production. When studios are available and not in use, we are allowed to use them and work on our own projects when we're here. It's something that's really great about Abbey Road and to be using the facilities here is something I would never even thought would be possible. I've been producing my own stuff for quite a few years now and some of my music even recently got air play on BBC Introducing and BBC Radio one, which I feel incredibly lucky for. It was a difficult journey to try and get to the point of where I'm at now as there's so many people fighting for the same role. So you really have to stand out and try and do something different. I feel very lucky and blessed to be in such an iconic building.
